“Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It’s a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

-Pema Chodron

About Brittany

  • Brittany Vincze, MSW, RSW

I am a Registered Social Worker and therapist in Hamilton, ON. I offer talk therapy and also EMDR and other trauma therapy modalities.

I am a seasoned professional and have been in the field for over 14 years. My road to being a Masters level clinician was a long one that has gifted me with extensive experience with various populations and issues. I very much come from a "social work" perspective to therapy and understand that an individual's experience is shaped by their social environment as well as their personal thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I am currently seeing older youth and adults and I do not provide play or art based therapy at this time. I have a special interest in supporting Indigenous people. I have Indigenous ancestry (Haudenosaunee, Cayuga) and have dedicated much of my career to working with Indigenous communities.  I am happy to be a NIHB provider for Indigenous clients with status. Please see my benefits and rates page for more information on NIHB covered therapy.

Thanks for dropping by and I wish you the very best in finding a therapist best suited for you.
